chandos answered:
Five years. I was told that when I moved here. I hated LA on and off for a good portion of my first years and then one day, I loved it. It's been 16 years now. Am I going back? Don't think so.

For some transplants, they never make L.A. home. I know someone who just moved "home" after 13 years in L.A. For me, I've always known I'm here to stay, but it's only in year six that I really feel some roots taking hold.
