Introducing Lek Limited Events

TheLEK.com is kicking off a series of exclusive events at venues throughout Los Angeles with "Wine and  Lekking" on Wednesday, August 20 at Ugo Wine Bar in Culver City.   The "Lek Limited Events" series will feature a variety of gatherings aimed at bringing Lekkers together for fun events.   Some of the events will have limited enrollment and Lekkers will need to RSVP in advance.  Others will be open to all. 

The initial list of events can be found below:

Wine & Lekking at Ugo Wine Bar. Wednesday 8/20, 7pm

Lekkers come together for a tasting of Ugo Wine Bar's selection of over 48 fine wines.   Lekkers will compete to write the best description of the wines they taste.  Cash bar and menu.  Open to all.

First Friday at TheLEK.com Offices, Friday, 9/5, 6pm

Internationally renowned artist, Chino Soria will be presenting an art installation in TheLEK.com offices as part of the Abbot Kinney First Friday festival on Friday, September 5.   Cocktails and tunes spun by DJ Pudgy Weston will make the evening a fun time to wrap up the summer meet other Lekkers.  Sponsored bar.  Open to all.

Sake and Tapas Tasting at Ronin Izakaya, Wednesday, September 10

A small gathering of Lekkers will come together for an evening of sake tasting that will be accompanied by Ronin Izakaya's fine menu of Asian-style tapas.  The event is limited to 12 lekkers and will be a fixed price menu.

"Back to School" Surfing Lessons, Saturday, September 13

Ten Lekkers will head for the beaches on Saturday, September 13 for an hour and a half group surfing lesson.  Event date may change based on weather conditions.  Cost: $60 per person.

"Flake Breakfast Cereal Taste" Off at Flake, Wednesday, September 17

Up to 20 lekkers will come together to compete in the "Flake Breakfast Cereal Taste Off".   Lekkers will be challenged to correctly identify cereals, topping and different milks from Flake's menu.  Two winners will walk away with "lunch or breakfast for two" courtesy of Flake.  This is a limited event.

The Boychick Affair, Sunday, October 5

A group of 10-12 Lekkers will come together to enjoy Amy Lord's production of The Boychick Affair.  Cost: $25

Tequila and Tapas Tasting at Border Grill, Date TBD

Lekkers will taste from Border Grill's menu of tequilas while enjoying their menu of insprired Mexican tapas.  Date and cost TBD.
