Contrary to its name, Samosa House isn't just a residence for samosas. Part grocery store, it is also an Indian cafe, serving up all your favorite dishes like daal, naan, chana masala and ras malai. Sometimes, you will even find non-cliche Indian menu items like jackfruit and lotus roots.
Very popular among Westsiders who want their Artesia fix without making the voyage.
Reviews of Samosa House

The first time I went here, I thought it was mediocre. See my review for Tandoor A India in Playa, if you want to know where I get my Indian food orgasm on. So, everywhere else is kind of a let down.
The combo is not that cheap... I think it's about $8 now... and portions are not that generous. The samosas are large, but not that flavorful and the chutneys are runny with a weird burnt taste in the tamarind one. But you know what, apples to oranges, my friend. This place has it's own merits.
It's fast! It's on my way home. It's got an ever changing variety of dishes. Yes, the jackfruit is all you've heard it is. I mean, it's not a meat substitute in MY opinion, unless you happen to think artichoke is a meat substitute. But it's delightfully flavored and really tasty. What made me come back is that the dishes have a homemade, authentic quality and the absence of meat and heavy cream sauces makes me think it's healthier and I can eat this more frequently.

Samosa House redefined Indian food for me. Their samosa cha (sic) is simply insane, a meal in itself. And if more people...

Samosa House blows people's minds. All veggie and all good. My brother's a meat lover, yet every time he comes to the Westside,...
